Paid Parking Zone and Parking Fees in the Town Car Parks apply in the summer season, i.e. from 15th of June to 15th of September.

FEEDING WATERBIRDS

Please note that feeding waterbirds (swans, ducks and seagulls) is recommended only in the periods of severe frosts when the surface of water is frozen for a couple or dozen days. You must not feed bread to animals !!! It is a very popular form of 'help' however it is extremely dangerous to swans and ducks. Bread eaten by them for a longer period of time causes gastro-intestinal system disorders (this weakens them and consequently leads to freezing). During digestion of bread kvass is produced which acidifies the gastro-intestinal system and this, in turn, results in diarrhoea and many other very serious illnesses (such as gastric acidosis or angel wing). Swans and ducks are mainly herbivores so you can feed herbal food to them.  

You can also give them grain, oat bran or oatmeal, groats and raw or boiled  finely chopped vegetables (without salt). Birds also like maize grains, cereal, bran, cereal grains-cooked or dry.

DOGS ON THE BEACH

Please note that the visitors with dogs should comply with the following provisions applicable on the beaches of the Municipality of Dziwnów:

1. In the summer period, i.e. from 15th of June to 1th od September, when the bathing beaches are open (between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.) the dogs are not allowed on the beaches. The guarded beaches are marked with special information boards situated in the stretch of the beach.

2. In the same summer period, on the unguarded beaches, dogs are allowed 24 hours a day, but please remember that they should be be kept on a leash and should be muzzled.

3. Out of season, between 1th of September and 14th of June, there are no restrictions for the dogs to stay on the beach. The owners, however, should observe the requirement to keep the dog on a leash and to muzzle it.

Please note, that the dogs' owners should take care of cleanliness and order therefore they are expected to have special dog-waste bags and to clean up after the pet. This requirement refers not only to the beaches but also to all other places on the territory of the Municipality. Failure to comply with the provisions may be penalized.
